Content Guidelines

Purpose of reviews

Resident Review exists so verified service businesses can share honest experiences about customers they have actually worked with, helping other businesses qualify leads and manage risk.

Allowed content

Reviews and comments should be accurate, based on first-hand experience, and relevant to the business relationship (for example payment practices, site conditions, communication, or safety).

• Describe real jobs or interactions with the customer
• Keep language professional and specific
• Obtain any customer consent required by law before submitting reviews

Prohibited content

Do not post content that is fake, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, illegal, or that exploits minors. Do not trade reviews, pay for reviews, scrape content, or misrepresent your identity or business affiliation.

• Fake, compensated, or reciprocal reviews
• Hate speech, threats, or harassment
• Content that violates privacy, IP, or other third-party rights
• Spam, bulk messaging, or search manipulation

Moderation

Except as required by law, we may screen, remove, edit, or reinstate User Content at our discretion when we believe it violates these guidelines or our Terms. Removal of a review does not always mean the underlying account action is reversed.
